Nedir?

BEST kurslarýnýn ve aktivitelerinin açýklanmasý, baþvurularýn yapýlýlp ilgili yerel gruplara iletilmesi, seçilen katýlýmcýlarýn ve yedeklerin ilan edilmesi, depozito durumunun karþý tarafa bildirilmesi, kurslarýn bitiminden sonra katýlýmcýlar tarafýndan kursun deðerlendirilmesi iþlemlerinin gerçekleþtiði online sistemdir.

Sezonlar

BEST etkinliklerinin tarihleri, baþvuru sisteminde kolaylýk saðlamasý açýsýndan güz, kýþ,
bahar ve yaz olmak üzere 4 sezona ayrýlmýþtýr. Sezon tarihleri, her sene deðiþmekle birlikte
yaklaþýk olarak þu þekildedir:

Güz Sezonu: Eylül 1. hafta - Aralýk 1. hafta arasý
Kýþ Sezonu: Aralýk 1. hafta - Mart 2. hafta arasý
Bahar Sezonu: Mart 2. hafta - Haziran 2. hafta arasý
Yaz Sezonu: Haziran 2. hafta - Eylül 1. hafta arasý

Sezon Baþvuru Tarihleri

Kurslara baþvuru tarihleri de her sene deðiþim gösterir ancak yaklaþýk olarak sezon baþlangýç
tarihinden 4 ay önce baþvurular baþlar ve 1 ay sürer. Tarihler yaklaþýk olarak þu þekildedir:

Güz Sezonu Baþvurularý: Mayýs 1.hafta - Haziran 1. hafta arasý
Kýþ Sezonu Baþvurularý: Eylül 3. hafta - Ekim 3. hafta arasý
Bahar Sezonu Baþvurularý: Kasým 2. hafta - Aralýk 2. hafta arasý
Yaz Sezonu Baþvurularý: Þubat 4. hafta - Mart 4. hafta arasý

edebilirsiniz.

Baþvuru ve Katýlým Limitleri

Sezon Limiti: Bir öðrenci, her sezon en fazla 3 BEST Kursu'na (BEST Course on Technology)
ve BEST Mühendislik Yarýþmasý'na (BEST Engineering Competition) baþvurma ve en fazla 1
tanesine katýlma hakkýna sahiptir. 1'den fazla kursa kabul alma durumunda tercihte üst
sýrada olana katýlma hakký elde edilir.BEST Eðitim Etkinlikleri (Event on Education) ve
BEST Eðlence Etkinlikleri (Leisure Events)'nde herhangi bir baþvuru ve katýlým sýnýrý yoktur.

Toplam Limit: Bir öðrenci üniversite hayatý boyunca en fazla 3 BEST Kursu'na (BEST Course on
Technology) katýlma hakkýna sahiptir. BEST Eðitim Etkinlikleri (Event on Education), BEST Mühendislik Yarýþmalarý (BEST Engineering Competition) ve BEST Eðlence Etkinlikleri (Leisure Events)'nde böyle bir katýlým sýnýrý yoktur.

Depozito Sistemi

Bir öðrenci herhangi bi etkinliðe katýlýmcý olarak kabul edildiðinde depozito olarak
belirlenen miktarý (yaklaþýk 60 YTL) kendi yerel grubuna verir. Belirlenen tarihe kadar
depozitolarýný vermeyenler kursa katýlým haklarýný kaybederler, onlarýn yerine yedeklere
hak tanýnýr.

Kursa katýlan ve kurs deðerlendirme formunu dolduran katýlýmcý kurs sonrasý depozitosunu
yerel gruptan geri alýr. Kursa katýlmamasý halinde, durum kursu organize eden yerel grup
tarafýndan deðerlendirilir. Kursa katýlmama durumu yeterince erken haber verilmiþse ve
boþalan yere baþka bir katýlýmcý bulunmuþsa genellikle depozito iade edilir. Aksi durumda
genellikle depozito iade edilmez.

Özetlersek:

1. Sezon baþvuru baþlangýç tarihine kadar yerel gruplar etkinliklerini açýklarlar.
2. Sezon baþvuru tarihlerinde (yaklaþýk 1 ay) baþvurular yapýlýr.
3. Yerel gruplar baþvurularý ve motivasyon mektuplarýný deðerlendirirler, sezon baþvuru son
tarihinden 2 hafta sonra katýlýmcýlar ve yedekler açýklanýr.
4. Listelerin açýklanmasýnýn ardýndan yaklaþýk 2 haftalýk bir sürede depozitolar verilir
ve katýlýmcýlar yerel gruplar tarafýndan onaylanýr.
5. Sezon baþlar, etkinlikler düzenlenir.
6. Sezon bitim tarihinden yaklaþýk 1 ay sonra katýlýmcýlar kurs deðerlendirme formlarýný
doldururlar ve depozitolarýný yerel gruplarýndan geri alýrlar.
7. ve Katýlýmcýlar hayatlarýnýn en ilginç tecrübelerinden birini yaþamýþ olarak normal
hayatlarýna devam ederler :D

Hesabýnýza onay verilmedi diye kurslara baþvurmamazlýk yapmayýn, zira kurslara baþvurduktan sonra onayýnýz verilecektir.  Siz kurslara baþvurunuzu yapýn, kayýtlar sona erdikten sonra hesaplarýnýza onay verilecektir.

Let's start with a simple question: "What is a BEST course for students?" Throughout the year BEST organises different activities where students from member universities get the opportunity to increase their international experience, establish contacts, improve their English and have fun. Each BEST Course is attended by 20-30 students of engineering like you, who have something in common: they want to live a unique experience, different from day-to day school life!

Local BEST groups arrange short (1-2 weeks long) courses during autumn, winter, spring and summer, where engineering students get the chance to learn more about a specific topic in their field of interest. BEST also organises seminars on educational issues, engineering competitions and leisure events such as sailing-weeks, ski-weeks, ... and more! The limit is set only by the scope of our imagination.

If you are a student of a university where BEST is present and you are not yet convinced that BEST activities are what you are looking for, it is maybe better to take a look at what we exactly offer. The different activities BEST organises are:

• BEST Courses
  In a learning event participants attend lectures given by the university's teaching staff or by experts from companies. They visit companies, industrial plants or research centres and sometimes take part in case studies. Topics of the learning events cover mainly different technology fields, economics, marketing and management. At the end of the course students take an exam, which is designed to test the results of the course and evaluate the participants' success. An increasing number of courses are recognised by many universities and students attending these courses can get credit points (ECTS -European Credit Transfer System) from their home universities.
  
  
• BEST Events on Education
  BEST Events on Education are seminars that last for about 6 days. They gather engineering students and professors from Europe with the purpose of evaluating and finding new paths for higher engineering education in Europe. There are currently two kind of these events: BEST Symposia on Education and BEST, Academics and Companies forums.
  
  
• BEST Engineering Competition
  Engineering Competition is an event where teams of students use their technical, social and communicative skills to compete in different categories: Team Design, Case Studies, Negotiation and Debates.
  
  
• BEST Leisure Events
  BEST also organises non-academic activities such as sailing weeks, ski-weeks, extreme sports. These courses have a higher fee and have no academic part. Only fun, fun and fun!
