Local BEST Group Istanbul in Istanbul Technical University, which is known as Local BEST Group İstanbul, has organised many productive, innovative and academic events in various fields. UMK has strengthened its position in BEST in a short period and has organized 8 technology courses, 2 regional meetings, 1 comittee meeting, 1 academic forum, 1 education camp, 1 project meeting, 6 motivation weekends and 3 cultural exchanges. From now on received 1224 applications from 30 country for the technology courses, hosted 312 engineering student in Istanbul and represented Turkey and ITU in Europe. Owing to UMK, 362 students from ITU joined BEST Courses in Europe by only paying the transportation fees. European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC), which can be called the major competition of Europe, will be organized by BEST Istanbul who continues working by enlarging their goals.
