Kaspersky Conference

On a tour for Bilisim Zirvesi'10, considered as one of the most sophisticated phisolophers, CEO of Kaspersky and founder of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene KASPERSKY, met students of ITU in Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center in 5th October, 2010. In the conference, several questions about industrial systems, as well as entertainment, knowledge, social life, career, private life and business were answered by Eugene KASPERSKY.

Summer Course “Fly Randomly, Enjoy Extremely”

With inspiration that comes from Vivaldi masterpiece called 'FourSeasons' BEST organize courses in four seasons in 30 countries and 89 Local BEST Group around Europe. Courses are events that have technical subjects, career related topics and social activities or engineering competitions.

Between 30th of June-11th of July 2010 BEST Istanbul organized Summer Course which is related to aeronautics with adversity of ITU Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics and attendance of 25 participants from all over Europe. Trainers and Experts from Istanbul Technical University and THK shared information about aeronautics and model airplane topics. Furthermore the participants visited the İnönü Training Center of THK and involved modelling project to gain practical knowledge.

BEST South Regional Meeting

BEST divided into 9 region in order to make coordination among Local BEST Groups easier and to share all ideas efficiently. With attendance of over 80 participants from Turkey, Greece and Macedonia, BEST South Regional Meeting was held in Taksim. In the event that we had at Istanbul Technical University Gümüşsuyu Campus, participants that have different cultures, language, religion found chance to introduce their own cultures and work together with people who have different point of view.

12	At the second day of ITU Engineering Competition, Career Day and Awards Ceremony was held in Suleyman Demirel Cultural Center which is the magnificent hall in Istanbul Technical University. In the end of the day, Engineering and Leadership Conference was made by Leaders of companies, university and student organisation.

ITU Engineering Competition 2010

ITU Engineering Competition (Local BEST Engineering Competition - LBEC) aims at improving engineering students' knowledge and creativity; therefore their technical, social and communication skills. An event which had been held several times in various universities all around Europe; was held in Istanbul Technical University, Yıldız Technical University, Middle East Technical University and Ege University for the first time in 2010.

International Project Forum, 18-28th February, 2010

The event gathers international BEST board, coordinators of committees and international project leaders together. During the event, all committees and participants work together in order to improve BEST with their opinions, projects and deeds.

With the support of Government of Sarıyer, the event was held in Kilyos Turban Tesisleri in 18-28th February. 75 foreign and 30 ITU students were participated while our university also supported us in various ways.

25	An event which was held second time in ITU, Seminar of Opportunities Abroad, aims at informing ITU students with different programs that give them opportunity to discover abroad such as ERASMUS, BEST, IAESTE, AIESEC, WORK & TRAVEL, GENÇTUR and INTERRAIL; as well as several foreign language associations also were present in the event. The event had more than 400 ITU students in KSB Auditorium.
